Job Overview
  • Assessment and monitoring of the condition of all static plant equipment and piping, utilized in the LNG plant, is reliant upon numerous methods of non-destructive testing, many of which are of a specialist nature..
  • The NDT supervisor is to be conversant with specifying the methods of conducting tests and interpreting the results.  He provides the Plant Inspectors with the NDT results and necessary information for life expectancy prediction and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Co-ordinates and supervises general NDT surveys for the NDT team, as initiated by the Plant Inspectors, in order to achieve the required deadlines.
  • Acts in an advisory capacity to the Plant Inspection team with regard to optimizing NDT surveys.
  • Performs  specialized NDT surveys, accurately interpreting results.
  • f. Provides concise reports in a proficient manner, alerting the Plant Inspection Engineers to problem areas in a timely manner.
  • g. Is conversant with codes and standards relevant to the performance of non-destructive testing and interpretation.
  • Assesses and evaluates new methods of non-destructive testing that become available.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all NDT technicians are fully conversant with radiological safety requirements, and that these are strictly adhered to on site.
  • Advises training requirements for NDT technicians

Job Requirements:

  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Educated to secondary level
  • Theoretical and practical training to an advanced Level-III  in general NDT methods, as certified by an internationally recognized authority (ASNT, PCN, CEGB, EN or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience of NDT as Level-III in the petrochemical/refinery industry.
  • Age Range : 35- 45
