Job Overview
Professionally Responsible To : General Manager Reports To : Financial Manager Job Summary: The post holder will be required to: Ensure prompt processing of Purchase orders and Payments to suppliers of goods and services in addition to maintaining accurate records of all related activities to enable the Centre to achieve its operational and strategic goals. Key Areas of Responsibility:  • Assist the Finance Manager (FM) in managing, planning and organizing the financial operations of the Centre including financial planning, accounting, budgeting and analysis. • Assist in providing short-term and long-term goals for the financial department by working closely with the FM and other financial staff. • Assist in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating successfully a strategy for operational management and development. • Assist in developing, implementing and assessing policies and procedures on accounting issues in accordance with the Centre. • Ensure an effective system of financial and accounting control. • Receive, process suppliers’ invoices, debit/credit notes, prepare payment vouchers, obtain approvals and ensure timely payment to suppliers. • Follow-up insurance claims/claims against suppliers for credit notes. • Attend to all suppliers’ enquiries regarding payment. • Reconcile suppliers’ statement of accounts. • Liaise, when necessary, with banks, government authorities, auditors, consultants and/or other departmental managers. • Be responsible for preparing periodic balance sheet statements of amounts and numbers of payable transactions. • Preparation and review of aging analysis • Liaison with Injazat and Hicom for AP module related issues. • Prepare and obtain approvals for purchase orders excluding purchase orders for Pharmaceutical items and consumables Other/Clinical Responsibilities:  • Ability to work on own initiative. • Ability to prioritize and plan in order to meet conflicting demands and deadlines. • Provide an expert knowledge with regards to accounting issues. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Promote and practise excellent oral and written communication skills. • Experience in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word) and other computerized accounting systems. • Maintain confidentiality and objectivity in accordance with the ethics of the profession. • Maintain an appropriate level of both personal and professional development. • Practise within his/her area of competence and assumes accountability for his/her own professional responsibilities. • Assist with any general administrative duties as and when necessary. Education Responsibilities:  • To maintain up-to-date accounting, financial skills and knowledge in order to ensure a successful and effective control over all accounting activities including monthly payroll.
