Job Summary

Participates in the duties of fire fighting and rescue team. Inspect, test and maintain fire and safety protection systems / equipment and life saving appliances. Perform fire watch activities and ensure compliance with the safety requirements during the work. Provide necessary assistance to the Supervisor as and when required.

Our client requires 16 Fire & Safety Technicians on 42/21 rotation


Principal Accountabilities:



  • Perform preventive maintenance on various safety equipment and conduct minor repair / maintenance works when required.

  • Maintain all safety premises and store in good order. Carry out safety checks as and when instructed. Assist in cleaning sites after fire fighting operations, drills or exercises.

  • Attend and secure hot works as a fire watch when required. Participate as a safety watch during entry to confined spaces. Attend to landing / take of helicopters on CPC helideck as a safety watch.

  • Carry out flammable gas tests for hot works when required.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and periodical checks on Portable Fire Fighting Equipment.

  • Participate in fire fighting, search and rescue and life saving as an emergency member.

  • Assist in Drill and Safety Training of offshore personnel. Participate in regular practical and theoretical training and simulated exercises of fire fighting, search & rescue, offshore survival, etc.

  • Carry out other administrative duties such as filing of correspondences and reports on fire & safety equipment maintenance, inspection, testing and inventory.

  • Check the received purchased safety material, check their status against issued order and store them in good order.
